Establish Your Chart of Accounts
Our out-of-the-box Chart of Accounts comprises hundreds of financial and operating metrics and the data relationships that define them, which we’ve found are common to most or all firms. For all practical purposes, it’s infinitely extensible to accommodate custom KPIs that apply to a specific category of your portfolio companies (e.g., within a given industry), or KPIs that are unique to an individual portfolio company.
In addition, take advantage of iLevel’s Formula & Calculation Wizard to define or modify calculations for numeric data items in the chart of accounts database. Build formulas to aggregate data, compare metrics, establish ratios, and more.
Scheduled and Ad-hoc Data Collection
Take advantage of dynamic, template-based workflow for portfolio data collection, review and approval. Use iLevel’s Excel Add-In to create and schedule custom templates for each portfolio company. Once systematic data collection processes are set in motion, the iLevel platform sends email notifications to your portfolio company representatives (or internal resources) on the schedule you determine – monthly, quarterly, or on-demand.
Approve and Prepare Data for Analysis
Once data is entered, the approvers you identify – both within the portfolio company and within your firm – can be notified automatically to verify and approve the data. When approved, data flows into the central database and, from there, into all reports, ready for analysis.
